GREAT POST FROM P.L.A. (WHY AWOL'S LYING ABOUT NUKES IS IMPORTANT
Not sure who I'm sending this to, bit of an internet newbie, but can someone please add this to some forum as to why those 16 words are so damn important.
"URANIUM IS FOR NUKES"
While we debate now what was said, do you remember how you felt when you first heard it, that Saddam was trying to rebuild his nuclear weapons program? As far as WMD's are concerned, NUKES are the biggest baddest boys on the block.
You can't get a vaccine, or an anti-chemical shot or be treated over a period of time. When a nuke goes off, anybody in the blast radius not wearing SPF6000 sun block is gone. These 16 words, were the single most important words he said, because every single person on this planet knows Saddam with a nuke is a whole different ball game to Saddam with Mustard Gas.
Hell, we all watched him Gas Kurds 15 years ago and did nothing. Would we have stood by and have let him Nuke the Kurds? No way! Bush knows the mileage he got out of mentioning the uranium at the time. Whoever actually gets this, please post it somewhere and get people talking this point up! (Thank-you)
AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET US FREE (FROM BUSH)
What a fanciful coincidence! Just as the truth comes out about aWol's lies about Iraq's "nukeuler" program, his poll numbers drop like a dead monkey from a tree (poor furious George).
Bush Job Performance Slips to 53% Positive, 46% Negative; More Voters (47%) Say It's Time for Someone New Than Say He Deserves Re-election; Two-in-Three Say it Makes No Difference if WMDs Are Never Found, According to Newest Zogby America PollAs Jesus himself says, the truth shall set you free; and as long as the truth gets out, it'll set us free from the mercy of the asshole, BIGTIME!
CORPORATE MUSIC NAZIS WAGING JIHAD ON P2P FILE SHARERS
The Recording Industry Association of America's attack on US culture has escalated at an alarming pace this week.
On Friday the lobby group that works on behalf of the large, mostly foreign-owned, music conglomerates that own the music copyrights and distribution channels confirmed that it was serving subpoenas at the rate of 75 a day on US citizens for the crime of sharing the music they love. You bet your top dollar there are more file-sharers than voters for aWol or Gore in the last election!
This signals a change of tactics for the RIAA: as now each individual file sharer is potentially responsible for thousands of dollars in damages. Once they were shielded by ISPs, but in the wake of the Verizon case, individuals are now exposed to direct intimidation. The RIAA is beside itself with glee: and boasted that a thousand music-lovers had already been busted.
The escalation in violence threatens to bring the US criminal justice system to an impasse: although the prison industry is already full to the brim, the RIAA's actions make new criminals out of tens of millions of ordinary US citizens.
As Boycott-RIAA's founder Bill Evans notes:
"THERE ARE MORE FILE-SHARERES THAN VOTERS FOR EITHER CANDIDATE AT THE LAST PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION".
This industry is declaring war on freedom, they've begun to wage a losing battle. It's a shame, because once upon a time I actually liked the recording industry.

TAKE BACK THE MEDIA NOTES SOME LIES
Our theme lately on this page and on other blogs has of course been (I told ya so) what else did George aWol Bush lie about? I have been asking this question lately, and searching for the answer; and behold, somebody else (take back the media) has done the work for me!
What about the other lies and false information that Bush gave about WMD in his State of the Union speech? Who will fall on his sword for those? What're the Republicans and the wingnuts going to say when it's time to impeach Bush for lying the country into a war that has inflicted so much suffering on American families of G.I.s? If the media stays on Bush's rear-end about this, there is no way he'll be re-elected.
Bush said that there was an Al-Qaeda connection to Iraq, a claim that has been thoroughly debunked. Who put that lie in the SOTU?
Bush also said that Iraq had:
1. 25,000 liters of anthrax
2. 38,000 liters of botulinum toxin
3. 500 tons of sarin, mustard and VX nerve agent
4. 30,000 chemical munitions
5. several mobile biological weapons labs
6. advanced nuclear weapons development program
7. a design for a nuclear weapon
8. five different methods of enriching uranium for a bomb
9. high-strength aluminum tubes suitable for nuclear weapons production
Just his destiny, another shaved bush.

NASTY, CORRUPTED BUSH
Paul Krugman was just born to be right all the time. He's asking the question the folks in the newsrooms are not asking openly: since Bush lied about this, WHAT ELSE did he lie about?! That's the next logical question and Krugman pursues the answer head on.
How did we get into this mess? The case of the bogus uranium purchases wasn't an isolated instance. It was part of a broad pattern of politicized, corrupted intelligence.
Literally before the dust had settled, Bush administration officials began trying to use 9/11 to justify an attack on Iraq. Gen. Wesley Clark says that he received calls on Sept. 11 from "people around the White House" urging him to link that assault to Saddam Hussein.
So the Iraq hawks set out to corrupt the process of intelligence assessment. On one side, nobody was held accountable for the failure to predict or prevent 9/11; on the other side, top intelligence officials were expected to support the case for an Iraq war.'Tis time to cut down the Bushes my friend, these hairy lies need to be dealt with, if aWol were a real man, he'd accept responsibility for what he's done and he'd step down.
WHAT A QUESTION BOB GRAHAM!!
Presidential candidate and 2-time ex-governor of Florida, Senator Bob Graham asks the $64,000 question:
"If the standard of impeachment that the Republicans set for Bill Clinton -- a personal, consensual relationship was the basis for impeachment, would not a president who knowingly deceived the American people about something as important as whether to go to war meet the standard of impeachment?"The problem that Bob Graham and other Democrats of good conscience must deal with is that Republicans simply think that war ain't as deep as a blowjob. Poor Republicans.
